At the ACA, our mandate is to help our members maximize the value of their investments in all forms of marketing communications. We’re here to help, so what can we do for you?

We work for you in many ways and drive numerous initiatives to make our suite of member benefits increasingly of more value to you as a marketer.

At the ACA, we:

  • Lead initiatives that enhance knowledge and understanding of practices that build brands, business and shareholder equity
  • Safeguard the right of marketers to commercial free speech, while informing them of their attendant responsibilities
  • Provide forums for learning, networking and professional development that enrich expertise and capabilities in the management of marketing communications
  • Serve as a resource that members depend on for proprietary services and customized solutions

All member issues and requests are held in total confidence, but we have provided a list of consultation topics that members have requested our assistance with. Each of these requests requires unique, customized solutions.

The most common consultations regard the far-reaching and important aspects of the client-agency relationship. The specifics relating to processes and access to proprietary information can be invaluable when searching for an agency, (re)negotiating the services and remuneration contract and performance reviews of the relationship, with much consideration given to all the relevant information requirements.

We can also conduct primary and secondary searches for information that you require related to any aspect of your internal organization needs as well as external marketing and marketing communications requirements.

Member consultations provide the ACA with new learning that we can share back to the ACA membership-at-large (with confidentiality of member and situation ensured). It makes us a richer and more knowledgeable organization that can better serve the needs of our membership. It enables us to know what is keeping you up at night and what issues are highest on your priority list. We can leverage that understanding into new developments of better practices to ensure that your MarCom investments can continue to deliver increasing value back into your organization.
